Going Public: Unconventional Action Beyond Traditional Art Limitations
Sharing your work in ways that feel real, accessible, and possible
For April, The Work Beneath returns to a paired artist format with a slightly different structure, focusing on what it means to “go public” as an artist. Going public can look many different ways. It might mean showing your work for the first time, sharing with friends or family, stepping into your community, or finding ways to exist outside of traditional art spaces.
This conversation explores both the courage and the practicality of sharing your work. Not just the big leaps, but the smaller, often quieter steps that make visibility possible.
Featured artists Malory Graham and Anne Rose will each share a short talk reflecting on how they have navigated sharing their work publicly, followed by a brief joint Q and A.

This event uses a Pay What You Can model to keep it accessible to all. Your contribution, whether $1 or more, directly supports the participating artists for their time, energy, and creative work. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Can't pay online? You're still welcome to attend, just come early, as seating is limited and first come, first served. Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to a future Talk if you are unable to attend or event is Cancelled or Rescheduled.
