By registering for and participating in a workshop with Mad Hare Press LLC, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Voluntary Participation

You are voluntarily participating in an art workshop that may involve the use of specialized equipment, tools, inks, paints, dyes, adhesives, recycled materials, and other creative supplies.

2. Assumption of Risk

You understand that participation carries inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Minor injuries from tools (such as scissors, carving tools, or utility knives)

• Clothing damage, ink or dye staining

• Potential allergic reactions or skin irritation from art materials

• Other unforeseen hazards related to the printmaking process

Protective equipment such as gloves will be available upon request, and participants are encouraged to communicate any allergies or sensitivities to the instructor before the workshop begins.

3. Release of Liability

You agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Liz Ortiz, Mad Hare Press LLC, its employees, instructors, affiliates, volunteers, and event hosts from any and all claims, demands, damages, or causes of action arising out of your participation in the workshop or travel to and from the event.

4. Personal Responsibility

You agree to follow all safety instructions provided by the instructor. You acknowledge you are responsible for your own well-being and safety during the workshop.

5. Photography and Video Consent

By participating in Mad Hare Press workshops, you grant permission for photographs and/or video recordings to be taken of you and your artwork during the event. These images may be used by Mad Hare Press LLC for promotional purposes, publications, educational materials, social media, and website content, without compensation to you.
You waive the right to inspect or approve the final use of any such media.

Photography consent is a requirement for participation, as documentation is an integral part of Mad Hare Press’s mission to celebrate and promote community engagement in the arts.

If you have specific concerns or require accommodations, you must contact Mad Hare Press in writing prior to the event at thehare@madharepress.com.

6. Minors

Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A waiver and photography consent form must be completed separately for both the adult and the minor participant.

7. Acknowledgment

By registering for a workshop, you certify that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Waiver and Release of Liability. You acknowledge that this document affects your legal rights and that you sign it of your own free will.
